Mathematica Experts to Speak at Disability Data Conference

Experts from Mathematica Policy Research’s Center for Studying Disability Policy will speak at a conference titled “Disability Statistics: Lessons in Data Collection and Application to Policy and Practice” on Monday, February 13, 2017, at the National Academy of Sciences Building in Washington, DC. 

The conference, sponsored by the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Disability Statistics and Demographics, will bring together researchers, administrators and staff from disability programs, and members of the disability policy and advocacy communities to discuss the state of disability statistics and how to move the field forward. 

Conference speakers will include four Mathematica researchers. Director of Health Research David Wittenburg will offer introductory remarks and participate in a panel discussion on “Using Program and Linked Data” along with Senior Researcher David Mann. Survey Researcher Jesse Chandler will be part of a panel on “Emerging Options for Obtaining Data.” Senior Researcher Yonatan Ben-Shalom will participate in a panel on “Data to Inform Policymakers.”
