Managing Consultant

Jessica (Jess) McNab’s work specializes in implementing and managing programs. She has extensive expertise in peer-to-peer learning, technical assistance, quality and process improvement, and the use of data to improve health outcomes.

Since joining Mathematica in 2018, McNab has taken on leadership roles on a range of large and small federal projects for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE). McNab uses participant and client feedback to inform curriculum development and drive continuous quality improvement efforts across the project. McNab is also a deputy task lead for the maternal and infant health task under the Medicaid and CHIP Core Set measures project. Past projects include acting as the task lead for an ASPE project, where she supported federal agencies in their development and implementation of evidence-building and evaluation plans for the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act. McNab serves in other roles across Mathematica focused on quality improvement and patient and family engagement.

Before joining Mathematica in 2018, McNab held positions with the American Hospital Association and Spectrum Health. She graduated from the University of Chicago with an A.M. in health administration and policy.
